Deranged
inside
This glass jar
oh human mind
Rage one moment
calm the next one
Actions fervent
or bothersome
This glass jar won't hold
my fractured mind in tow
Scatterbrain
scatterbrain
split my mind in twain in twain
Scatterbrain
splattered brain
So I could die again
Thought you could
straigten me
Thought you would
balance me
But instead you
uncreated me
I hope you do find
in your selfish heart
A way to rewind
back to where you start
Because that's so much ex-
actly what I want to find
For my mind
You cold, attention-devouring bitch
Who'll leave countless others in this ditch
Of love been lost and forever have longed
Please see how, whom and all you've wronged

Hokey Pokey
What I'm really all about.
Hi, I'm Pi R Skwared.
Call me Pi
I like to define my blog by saying it's an allsorts kind of Blog. I like basically everything, so here you'll find gaming, revelations, journals, personal projects, poems, movie and music suggestions, dareisay humour, even? Take a look. Or don't. I dont care. All I want is love and fame from strangers to satisfy my need for attention. (Okay maybe I care a little bit)
Anyways I figure it's about goshdarntime I introduce myself to the internet
I don't even know where to begin (especially without sounding like the million-times overused high school kid cliches)
You know what? I'm gonna write this later - when I'm not sleep deprived.
Stay alert stay safe, kids

So YoU tHiNk?
And so you mean to tell me this is how we're s'posed to live,
Workin' jobs we hate to keep buyin' all their shit,
And we all like to think that one day we'll all be free,
When the truth is that we'll all be enslaved by their greed!
And you see efficient cars? They're all made overseas,
And you see the people walkin' with their fashion magazines,
And they'll all try to tell you that none of you are worthy,
When it's the ads that really deserve all the controversy!
And they do so well keeping us all amused,
And they try so hard to keep us all confused,
And it's all just to keep their secret hid away,
That you pay the same people who make you work here everyday!
And no it's not the guv'nor, or the law, or the police,
It's the fact that these days men act more just like machines,
And it's not the money, cars or girls that they flaunt,
It's the corporations everyday who give us what we want.
Don't fall for it.
Stand up.
Fight back.

Musical Monday 0 - The Cure
So every Monday I'm going to show a song that you need to hear and the history behind it.
And I know what you're thinking... *engage whiny voice* But Pi, today is Friday, So why are you posting this today and not after the weekend *disengage whiny voice*
Well I've decided to start early, and when you see the song I've picked, you might guess that I'm in love...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa2nLEhUcZ0
So, listen to the song by itself (no video) first, and then again with the video. No cheating. This is to help you get the best experience from this video.
Enjoy!

Beating
Clickety-clack on a keyboard screen
Simultaneaously daydream
Work never stops; the boredom goes on
No matter what the beat goes on
Organize and Structurize
And pseudo-applicative-capturize
This will eat your days and nights
The beating beating beating
A switchup here, a melody there
Just enough to break despair
From the night till morning on
Sunrise to set the beat goes on
Maddening this lack of sleep
There's no time for counting sheep
Not a moment yours to keep
The beating beating beating
Just when you think your work's complete
Another pile on your desk heap
Goals, deadlines, and flow charts keep
The beating beating beating
Working hard are hard working?
Slacking not an option, workling
This way and that they push us on
Because they demand the beat go on
It's time I end this pattern tone
Every verse so monotone
The trance I need to end alone
The beating beating beating
stops

ISU Update - Finished
So I originally began work on sculpting the letters a long time ago, into the word "MIND." My first step upon revisiting them was to paint them.
I then used the same canvas I had used for my first painting. I painted over the first one with white Gesso, and then again in white tempera. I sketched a hexagonal pattern and a grid pattern in pencil, and then went over it in marker. I then went over the right half with black tempera and painted in the acrylic colour. Finally, I used toothpicks punched through the canvas and glued into place to stick the foam letters onto.

ISU FINAL
Going along with my previous theme of mental dualism, my ISU will by a mixed-media, foam sculpture placed on a canvas.
The canvas will contain a painting similar to that in my sketches, and the sculpture will be letters spelling out the word "MIND." The letters will also be painted, in a style depending on which side of the painting they lie on; left will be lines and geometric shapes, right will be colours.
The canvas may be L-shaped to accomodate the letters.
Photos of sketches and process work coming soon.

The Creative Process
For all y'all artists out there, here's a neat process/mind-map/thinking aid for your work!
Take from it what you will.
Steps:
-Challenge/Inspire
-Imagine/Generate
-Plan/Focus
-Explore/Experiment
-Preliminary Work
-Revise/Refine
-Present/Perform
-Reflect/Evaluate
THE CREATIVE PROCESS
Creativity involves the invention and the assimilation of new thinking and its integration
with existing knowledge. Creativity is an essential aspect of innovation. Sometimes the
creative process is more about asking the right questions than it is about finding the
right answer. It is paradoxical in that it involves both spontaneity and deliberate,
focused effort. Creativity does not occur in a vacuum. Art making is a process requiring
both creativity and skill, and it can be cultivated by establishing conditions that encourage
and promote its development. Teachers need to be aware that the atmosphere they create
for learning affects the nature of the learning itself. A setting that is conducive to creativity
is one in which students are not afraid to suggest alternative ideas and take risks.
The creative process in the arts is intended to be followed in a flexible, fluid, and cyclical
manner. As students and teachers become increasingly familiar with the creative process,
they are able to move deliberately and consciously between the stages and to vary the
order of stages as appropriate. For example, students may benefit from exploring and
experimenting before planning and focusing; or in some instances, the process may
begin with reflecting. Feedback and reflection take place throughout the process.
